Life at 4 months

Zoey turned 4 months old last weekend but we just went to the doctor today. She weighs 13 lbs 3 oz. and is 24 inches long. She has begun to be more clingy with Joe and I which we don't mind! She is also turning out to be very ticklish and she is checking out her voice range by doing lots of squealing these days. It's hard to watch her grow so quickly but each growth spurt brings lots of fun new things as well. Here are some pics of her first taste of rice cereal. Z caught on very quickly so I think she will move to fruits and veggies pretty soon!

Spring Life

We finally had a whole weekend of nice weather. Zoey enjoyed going into the city to check out some cool baby shops. These are just 2 pics I snapped on Friday and wanted to share. By the way, Zoey's hair can finally hold a bow. It really is too cute for words!

Daddy's Birthday Life

Today is Joe's 28th birthday. It definitely brings something extra special to the day having Zoey celebrate with us this year. She enjoyed helping Dadddy open presents and she especially loved reading the cards. We had a nice lunch with my mom, Jake, Hannah, and Mavis. I think the best part was my funfetti cake. Happy Birthday Daddy!

North Carolina Family Life

Zoey had a great time meeting all her family in North Carolina. We were so lucky to have Christie and Kari and their kids drive from VA to see us. We had a blast hanging with first cousins, second cousins, aunts, great aunts,great uncles, and Great Grammy! Although she was very shy when she was with everyone, Zoey talked to us all the way home about how much fun she had. We can't wait to visit again!

Life at the Beach

Zoey had her first big road trip to Wilmington, NC this week. We had a great time as a family visiting the beach. It was too cold to swim and too cloudy to lay out but it was relaxing just seeing the water. Here are a few pics of Zoey's first trip to the beach!

Friend Life

Zoey has a new friend, Xander, who we went to visit the other day. He is so small and handsome. It made me realize how fast Zoey is growing. Congrats Tony and Janeen!

Life as Miss Azalea

We are headed to Wilmington this weekend for vacation and for Zoey to meet her other great grandmother and great aunts and uncles. We are so excited for Zoey to see where Mommy and Daddy met and lived during college and their 1st year of marriage. Wilmington hosts the Azalea Festival every year in April. Joe found some azaleas in our yard yesterday and turned Zoey into our azalea queen. I think she REALLY likes to do silly things with Daddy!

Daddy likes to have Zoey help paint. Her eyes are always big and wide open when she looks at Daddy's art. She is definitely learning young to appreciate art!

Have you ever seen anything as cute as a baby at bath time? Zoey loves the bath so I can't wait to introduce her to the swimming pool this summer.
