Welcome Baby Mattea Reese Whitney!

We are so excited that Joe's sister, Amanda, had her baby girl today! Mattea was 6lbs 15 oz & gorgeous. She had beautiful round cheeks. Since she is a leap year baby she is already famous. The local news station did a story about her. Check it out here:

Family Fun Friday!

Last Friday Joe had the day off so we took advantage of it & had a fun Friday with Zoey. It began with breakfast at Cracker Barrel. I must admit I have never had breakfast there. Oh the goodness that I have been missing out on! My pancakes were delicious! After we filled our tummies we decided to go bowling. It was so fun! It is the one thing that we can do as a family & all participate. Zoey did well & Joe ended up beating me at the very end! If I didn't have a big 'ole belly I would have won! It's always a great day when we can have some fun all together.

My Little Artist

Zoey may look like Mommy but her mind works just like Daddy! She is so creative & imaginative. She loves creating detailed adventures for her & her stuffed animals-mainly Simba & Nala-to go on. She observes everything. Lately, she has started drawing. Her teacher showed her how to draw a house this morning & she immediately got started on her own version. I was pretty impressed with her first house!

Happy Valentines Day!

Zoey had a great day! It started with a valentine doughnut followed by a valentine party at school and a bag of goodies. Joe brought home Italian food & we had a candlelit dinner & exchanged gifts. Zoey got Angelina Ballerina on ice DVD, Joe got a gift card to a local brewery, & I got The Vow & a bag full of stress relieving stuff for a spa night at home. I love my 2 valentines!!

32 years old & 23 weeks pregnant

I celebrated my 32nd birthday on Thursday. It was a nice day & we went to our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner. Zoey was most excited about getting me a cake so we had cookie cake. Last night we went to Flip Burger Boutique and celebrated with Jake, Hannah, & Mavis. I LOVE hamburgers & Flip makes them best. Another great thing about Flip is their unique milkshakes. I got Nutella with burnt marshmallows, Hannah got turtle with caramel foam, & the girls split a Krisy Kreme one! Yummy doesn't even begin to describe how good it all was.
I can't believe I am almost 6 months pregnant! I am beginning to wear out quicker so our house is not so neat & tidy but I eventually get it all done. The baby is moving a lot & I love feeling him. Zoey giggles when she feels it! I'm starting to get some nursery ideas together. I can't wait to get his room ready. It's the fun part!
