Easter Pics

We had a great Easter weekend. My parents came to visit and of course Jake, Hannah, and Mavis joined us. The Easter Bunny brought Zoey a kitchen. She loves to cook us some yummy dishes and is particularly good at stirring things! Gran and Grandaddy also got Zoey a bag of goodies but all she cared about was the raisins. Apparently when I was her age that's all I cared about on Easter too. Joe and Jake have birthdays 4 days apart so we had a bday celebration and made the guys wear bday hats. It was fun!

Life at 16 months

Zoey is changing so much every day now! Joe and I were saying last night that since she turned one, she has changed so much quicker than before. I can't even describe how fun she is right now. She loves to play chase and has the cutest giggle while doing it. Joe also likes to sneak up on her and scare her and she thinks that is hilarious too. She still loves to cuddle and often loves to sit in my lap and read books. While in Wilmington, Great Grammie asked me what her favorite toys were-books and music-it's kind of funny that that is a one year olds favorite toys but it's true! She speaks a lot of jibberish and her new words are night night, milk, Mabis (Mavis), banana, dog, and buff buff (ruff ruff). In fact, she has an obsession with dogs right now. She found one in a book last week and I told her that it was a dog and it says "ruff ruff". Well all she wanted to do after that was sit in my lap and find the dog in the book all while saying "buff buff". Then we went to Wilmington and Aunt Robin has 2 big dogs so Zoey woke up every morning saying "buff buff" and wanting to see the dogs. The funny thing is she would then scream if they came near here. She wanted to see the dogs but she didn't want the dogs to see her!
We were at the doctor last week with ear infections and she weighed in at 21 pounds. She is slimming up so much now that she is walking. My little baby is melting away but I love the fun, silly toddler she is becoming. She brings us so much joy each day!

Wilmington Trip

We just got back from Wilmington. It was great spending time together and Zoey really enjoyed having Mommy and Daddy around all day. We spent a lot of time eating at our favorite Wilmington spots. Joe's aunts, uncles, and grandmother live in Wilmington so we got to see family and play with some cousins. We also went to an indoor playground that had a ball pit, slides, and a bouncy. Zoey had the best time! We stopped by the beach on our way out today because it was the only day that was finally warm enough to go. We already miss everyone but hope to return this summer. What a great vaca!
