We are still here!

Wow! Has it really been a month since I posted something? I guess summer got started and I took a break from everything...blogging included! Here's an update on what we have been doing.
May 26-School got out and we headed to the lake. Zoey sported all her new bathing suits and Daddy finally let her ride in the boat. Last year Joe felt that she was too little but this year we put her in a floating suit and held onto her tight so she could experience all the fun. She had a great time playing in the sprinkler with Mavis but their favorite thing was a big puddle at the resort. They would have run through it all day!
June 8-We headed to Virginia to visit the McSpadden family. It was so fun! We stopped in Richmond first to visit Aunt Beth and Uncle Ben. They just moved to our beloved city so we showed them all our favorite spots. They have such a cool apartment. We love city life! We also stopped by the school that I worked at in Richmond to visit my old friends, Becky and Ashley. I cried when I left there because it amazes how much they still feel like family. We also stopped by our dear friends, Mike and Amber, to have dinner with them. These guys are family to us and it was so great to spend some time with them. They have a house full of boys and Zoey loved the attention. We gave Mike some practice with a girl though because Amber is due in August with a precious baby girl! It was a wonderful start to our trip.
Next we headed up to Stafford to see everyone else. Zoey had a great time playing with her cousins but I have to say she loved seeing the dogs more than anything! She was a little timid at first but she got so comfortable that she would even stick her hand in their mouths. I'm not talking about little dogs either. Kari has a golden retriever/poodle mix and Christie has a pony, I mean a great dane! They were both beautiful, gentle dogs. During the week we also went to Arlington to visit Aunt Manda and Uncle Daniel. They also have a great apartment next to some cute shops and a fabulous place to eat. We finished our time there with a cookout at Joe's parents with the whole family. It was so much fun!
Last we made a stop in Charlotte to visit The Darby's. Joe and Adam have known each other since high school and we all lived in Wilmington together for a while. That was before real jobs and babies! They have 2 adorable kids, Bella and Levi, who were so sweet. Zoey got to swim with them. We always wish we lived closer to the Darby's!
I'll add pictures when I can. Our computer is not working so I am on Joe's work computer. Happy Father's Day everyone!
