12 hours

That is how long Jude is sleeping at night! On Tuesday morning I heard him on the monitor & checked the clock...it was 7:15am! He went to bed at 7:30pm the night before. I thought it might be a fluke but he has done it all week. Now if I could just make myself go to bed earlier, I could get more sleep too.
My poor baby woke up today with a low grade fever. I think it is from his shots so we are just waiting it out. He definitely didn't act like himself this morning. You can see in the pic below that he likes to sleep in someone's arms. He will sleep all night in his bed but for nap time he refuses! I have tried to have him cry it out but then I cave because I think it's kind of cute. He probably won't do it for long so I don't mind the snuggle time for now!

2 month checkup

Jude had his 2 mth check up today. He is 2 weeks behind so we could get the pediatrician that we love. Dr. Smiley is the best! My little guy is chunking up! He weighed 12lbs 6 oz and is 23 inches long. At his 1 mth he was 9lbs 15oz & 22 inches long. He is growing so quickly. I looked back & Zoey was only 11lbs at her 2 mth check up. Boys are definitely different. He is in the 50th percentile for everything & Zoey has always been in the 20th percentile. Jude may not be the smaller one for very long! Back to Work

I finished my first week back at work. I was not really looking forward to starting back, but things went very well. Jude only woke up 1 time on Sunday night so I was able to get a good night's sleep before my first day. Thankfully Joe is still home & he helped me get out the door each morning. Zoey was awesome & enjoyed seeing her friends again. Jude was just eating & sleeping somewhere different so he was fine. I can't express how great it is that he is just a few steps away from me. I am so thankful my babies get to go to work with me. I can get hugs from them anytime I want & I certainly take advantage of it. Here are a few pics from this week!

2 months old

Mr. Jude is 2 months old today! He is such a sweet baby. He loves Mommy right now & I am enjoying every minute of it. I told Joe that the time is so brief when a son can be a Momma's boy. I am savoring every cuddle & smile that is meant just for me. Jude also smiles when he hears Zoey's voice. She continues to be a little Momma. She loves to help with his paci, comfort him if he is crying, & read books to him. Joe is just waiting for football season to start so the boys can watch the Redskins win! Happy 2 months Baby Jude!

Zoey goes fishing

At the beginning of the year, we sat down and wrote some goals for 2012. We explained to Zoey that she should pick some things she would like to do this year that she has never done or that she would like to work hard to do. She has completed 3 of her goals! The first was to swing by herself. Joe put a swing in our backyard & taught Z how to pump her legs. It didn't take long before she was swinging high by herself. The next goal came more naturally as she spent more time outside. It was to ride her bike (with training wheels) by herself. She used to have a hard time pedaling but not this year! The last goal was to go fishing. Grammy had a princess fishing pole & the perfectly stocked pond behind her house for Zoey to accomplish this goal. When we were in VA Joe, Zoey, & Grammy all went fishing! Zoey caught 3 fish & she was so proud!
