Valentine's Day

We had a very fun Valentine's Day this year. Zoey and I started off the morning eating pink heart shaped pancakes. Then we surprised Daddy, who was sleeping in, with a pancake breakfast in bed. Later that night, Joe and I went on a date to Flip. It was delicious and nice to have a night out. Zoey LOVES cards. She opens them and closes them a bunch of times. She carries them around the house. Joe had a hard time reading the card Z gave him because she didn't want to let go of it! Here are the pics from our morning.

Life at 14 months

Miss Zoey just gets more and more personality every day. She loves to greet Joe when he walks in by saying "Hi" or "Hi Dad". It's so funny! She hears him walk in the door and she crawls over as fast as she can and talks to him. I'm afraid we are going to have a real talker on our hands when she can say all the words she tries to say now! She goes all around the house just jabbering. Zoey also dances all the time now. She will be eating dinner and just start busting a move. Joe and I always laugh because we wonder what song she is hearing in her head and dancing to! If she's not a dancer or a singer then I will be shocked!
Zoey is still not walking. She pushes her push toy all around and occasionally walks holding one of our fingers but she won't walk on her own. I think she is waiting until she can just take off and not fall down. This weekend she kept holding her arms up for Joe and I to take her when she wanted to go to another part of the room. We had put a stop to that and make her either walk with our fingers or crawl. She's so spoiled!

New Mommies

Zoey and I host a New Mommies group once a month. This past Saturday was our valentine's playdate. Everyone brought their favorite valentine treat, which was just for the mommies of course, and the babies had play time. It was so fun! I started this group when Zoey was about 6 months old and most of the other babies were only 2 or 3 months old. Now everyone is crawling and can play so well together. It's fun to watch Zoey grow up with such adorable friends. Here a few shots of our morning!

Mommy's Birthday

My birthday was last week. We got to celebrate at Cinco with some gourmet Mexican and margaritas. It was a fun weekend!

I got inspired the other day to take some different photos of Zoey. I thought they turned out pretty cute. I had to put raisins on the chair to keep her happy! The funny thing is she looks like she can walk in these pics but she still can't. She is getting very close. It was fun but I hope to get some professional pics taken soon.
