Best Weekend Ever

My husband gets some major brownie points for this weekend. Yesterday was our 6th anniversary and little did I know but he had a night full of surprises for me to celebrate! I spent Saturday afternoon at the spa getting a massage and facial. It was so nice and relaxing. Then Joe picked me up from there and surprised me again by pulling into the W Hotel in Buckhead. It is the coolest hotel I have ever seen. You feel like a celebrity just walking in with a room key! We had dinner at a beautiful resturant, Canoe, on the Chattahochee River. They even served us a special anniversary dessert. It was truly the best weekend ever!

Cousin Sleepover!

Zoey and Mavis had a cousin sleepover this whole weekend! Mavis spent the night with us on Friday night and then Zoey spent the night with Mavis on Saturday night. They got to eat Mexican together, read books, go to the Mall of GA, and even wear matching pj's! Here are some pics from our house.

Life at 17 months

Zoey pulled the computer into her lap all by herself!

I'm just looking for Gabba videos

So big yet still little enough to fit in my book basket!
We went to the doctor last week for a check up and Miss Zoey weighed in at 21 pounds. She seems to have leveled off with her weight and doesn't gain much between visits. She loves breakfast and can eat more than me. She typically has a waffle, a banana, and a cup of yogurt. For lunch she eats well too but dinner is a different story. We're lucky if she eats 10 bites. She is continuing to improve her vocabulary and we are now amazed at the things she remembers. I can tell her what something is and 2 days later she will pick it up and call it the right name. It's amazing to watch toddlers grow and learn!
She loves being outside and reading books. She loves to get on her riding toys and zoom around the house. She loves Yo Gabba Gabba and she loves being with Mommy and Daddy. Happy 17 months Zoey Claire!

Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day! Joe and Zoey made my favorite breakfast, gave me sweet cards, and I get to spend the day at the spa on Saturday. Nice! I just can't say what a blessing it is to be a mother. It fills something in me that could be filled in no other way. Zoey is so much more than I could have ever imagined. I love her cute little laugh. I love her sweet voice calling "Mama" all the time. I love watching her learn something new. I love that even though she is getting bigger everyday, she still loves to stop playing and come sit in my lap for some cuddles. She's my baby girl and I am the luckiest person in the world to be Zoey's Mommy!

Yo Gabba Gabba

The only show that Zoey will sit for is Yo Gabba Gabba. Whenever we turn the TV on she yells "Gabba!" It's so funny and cute. Here is a pic of her enjoying her favorite show!

Melmo!

Elmo-or as Zoey says "Melmo"- was at Learning Express on Saturday. Zoey has an Elmo Sing A Long book that is her favorite so I thought she would enjoy seeing him in person. Wrong! She wouldn't have anything to do with him. Lucky for her we were in a toy store so she could pick out something to take home!

Who is that?

I'm not so sure about this.

I will not smile at him.

Look Mom I think there's a princess crown over there!

Tifton Trip

We went to Tifton the weekend before last but I just have not sat down to post the pics. It was perfect spring weather. We tried to take Zoey to the park but it was so crowded that we went to an elementary school instead. Zoey loved swinging and climbing. My dad brought some bubbles because Zoey loves to say "bubbles" all the time now. We went to church on Sunday and then to Cracker Barrel for some good food before hitting the road. Thanks Mom and Dad for a great time!
