Life with Uncle Kevin

Uncle Kevin is here! Zoey is still trying to figure out who he is but once he starts talking, she starts smiling. We have been having so much fun with Kev. He has visited friends with us, helped us host a party, been to the movies with Joe, and played many games of football on the x box. We're planning to make wings tomorrow...Kevin's favorite!

On another note, it rained here tonight and when I looked outside after making dinner this is what I saw. It was the most strange and yet the most incredible light I have ever seen. It was about 9:00pm when Joe took these pics. Pretty awesome!

This week...

We went to the dr. on Monday for Zoey's 6 month checkup. She weighed 15 lbs 1 oz and is 26 in. tall. We have been busy this week visiting with friends and family. We are very excited that Uncle Kevin is coming to visit today. Here are some random pics from this week.

New Cut

I got my hair cut on Tuesday. It's nice and short which I haven't had in a long time. Hannah did an awesome job as usual. These pics are from the conference preparty at church last night. Tell me what you think!

Pool Time

Here are some pics from our day at the pool on Sunday. Zoey loves to get in her float and just lounge! She doesn't mind getting splashed on by the big kids or if the water is cold. She just likes the water. What a cutie in her bathing suit!

Father's Day 2008

Joe's first Father's Day! It was a great day. We went to lunch at Jake's and then to the swimming pool. It was fun to hang out with family and relax. I could go on and on about what an amazing father Joe is, but if you have seen him with Zoey then there is no need to explain! Zoey gives her Daddy way more smiles than me, LOVES to play games with him-he does invent the most fun ones, and likes to fall asleep in his arms. We love you so much and I am blessed at the way you love us both Joe!

Life at 6 Months!

Half a year old! Our baby girl is actually half a year old! To celebrate we went to Screen on the Green last night in the city. It was at Centennial Olympic Park and they played the movie Chicago. The weather was perfect and the company was even better. We met some friends and picniced for a little bit. As the movie started Z got tired so we didn't see much of it but you should have seen her eyes when we were walking through the city to get to the park. She was mesmerized and taking everything in. Here's what she is doing now: rolling over from back to tummy and tummy to back (as of 2 days ago), wants to touch our faces all the time, sitting up, playing lots of games with us, squealing all the time-it's loud and very fun in the grocery store!, and still being very snuggly! She is 15lbs. 7 oz. We go to the dr. next week so I will update measurements then.

Eatin' Good!

I've decided to make my own baby food. It's actually really easy and fun. I started with carrots. Zoey was hilarious eating them. She took about 5 bites no problem , and I thought "awesome, she's really liking this vegetable!" But on the sixth bite....she started gagging and pretty much rejected carrots the rest of week! So, we moved on to bananas which she loves. I gave her a little watermelon today but she didn't like it either. She wouldn't even open her mouth for a second bite. Oh the adventures of learning to eat real food! Here are some pics of her eating carrots.

Ok so we are finally back in business! I uploaded all our new pics from the past few weeks. We've had a great start to the summer and we are looking forward to a lot more fun. Enjoy our adorable bikini baby and her latest adventures!

Summer Vaca at the lake

Last week we spent the whole week on vacation at my parent's lake house. It was so nice to ski, tube, wakesurf, ride on the boat, and just enjoy the sun! My mom kept the babies so we could enjoy ourselves. Gran was incredible and Zoey loved spending so much time with her. THANKS! Joe couldn't leave the lake without having a fish fry. It was delicious! I think we might have to sneak another lake trip in soon!

Trip to Tifton

It's been a few weeks ago now, but we headed south to Tifton for a few days. It was so nice to see old friends and to visit family. Zoey got to meet her other great grandmother, Bobbie, and have some good cuddle time with Mema. Of course, Gran and Grandaddy loved having some snuggles too!
